I ordered this scale to weigh small parts for RC cars and it has performed excellent. As others have mentioned you need to remove the batteries from the unit before using the scale because the batteries are shrink wrapped in plastic. For the price I didn't expect the build quality to be great so I wasn't shocked at the fairly cheap build quality. The plastic casing feels ok but the battery cover feels cheap and loose. The protective cover for the stainless steel weighing platform is not too bad though. The scale is small about 4" x 3" in size but the weighing platform is decently sized covering about 70% of that area.
In terms of ease of use and accuracy it's a great little scale with a nice sized backlit LCD with an auto shutoff to conserve battey power. To get accurate results you need to place it on a flat non-moving surface because this scale is VERY sensitive.
