I purchased this scale to track the weight gain/loss of my pet parrot. Luckily this pretty sturdy scale is accurate when weighing anywhere on the stainless steel surface. *NOTE: you might want to remove the plate and reinstall it to make sure it's level (you obviously don't need to do this if the scale reads even in all four sides and center)*
The reason I rated this a 4/5 is because it is a bit laggy to bring up the weight. So it takes us plenty of tries till I get the weight right. However, if you are weighing like food or laboratory items then I doubt it would be a nuissance to you.
